- 2011: Move to San Jose, California — Eric received a job offer from Hickman Palermo Truong & Becker, a law firm based in San Jose, after working there as a summer associate during his second summer of law school in 2010. The couple initially moved into the same Willow Glen apartment complex they had lived in during both summers in San Jose (now called Koi Creek Apartments, adjacent to the San Jose Swim and Racquet Club), following Eric's first summer internship at the IBM Almaden Research Center in 2009.
