Ruby Faye Sellars (May 29, 1929 – September 8, 2022) was a central figure in the Sellars family and a long-time member of the New Liberty Baptist Church. For many decades, she and her husband Everett Sellars resided at 2800 Live Oak Dr in Mesquite, Texas.

Early Life

Ruby was born in Daingerfield, Texas, to Homer Nix and Ruby Inez Terry Nix. She was the oldest of ten siblings.

Life in Mesquite

After moving to Dallas, Texas in 1959, the family settled at 2800 Live Oak Dr in Mesquite, Texas, where she raised her three children. This home became the primary site for family Christmas gatherings for several generations of the family.

She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church for over fifty years, where she and her husband, Everett Sellars, were deeply involved in outreach programs.

Family

Ruby married Everett Sellars on October 23, 1948, at the First Baptist Church of Daingerfield, Texas.
