Eric Lloyd Sellars (born August 8, 1983) is a Cloudflare employee and former intellectual property attorney currently residing in Austin, Texas.
Early Life and Education
Eric was born on August 8, 1983, in Dallas, Texas, to Keith Sellars and Donna Sellars. He grew up in Garland, Texas and graduated from North Mesquite High School in 2001.
Following high school, he attended Texas Christian University (TCU) for one year (2001–2002) before transferring to the University of Texas at Austin. At UT, he earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Science. He later attended the University of Houston for Law School.
Marriage and Family
Eric married Erin Sellars between the first and second semesters of his first year of Law School (see Wedding of Eric and Erin).
The couple moved to San Jose, California in 2011. Their two children, Baker Sellars and Maxyn Sellars, were both born at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California.
Career
Eric's professional career began in Intellectual Property Law. While in law school, he spent two summers in San Jose, California:
- First summer: Interned at the IBM Almaden Research Lab.
- Second summer: Interned at Hickman Palermo Truong and Becker.
Following law school, he joined Hickman Palermo Truong and Becker as an attorney. He is currently employed by Cloudflare.
Social History
During his years at the University of Texas at Austin, Eric lived with friends Brian Beal, Ryan George, Joe Sandone, and Brett Appolito.
