Eric Lloyd Sellars (born August 8, 1983) is an attorney currently serving as Associate General Counsel, Director, Intellectual Property at Cloudflare. He resides in Austin, Texas.
Early Life and Education
Eric was born on August 8, 1983, in Dallas, Texas, to Keith Sellars and Donna Sellars. He grew up in Garland, Texas, primarily at 302 Larchbrook and earlier at 5738 Valley Mills. During this time, his father Keith worked for the high-speed printing divisions of Siemens, which was subsequently sold to Océ and later to Canon. His mother Donna was a stay-at-home mother throughout his childhood.
After Eric and his sister Carrie had completed high school, Donna returned to work as an administrative assistant at Vanston Middle School. She has since retired from this position.
He graduated from North Mesquite High School in 2001. During high school, he was a member of the golf team, which practiced primarily at the Mesquite Municipal Golf Course. Eric has cited his time on the golf team as a highly impactful part of his early education.
Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating, he remained in Austin for one year, working as a programmer at the Office of Technology Commercialization for UT Austin. He then attended the University of Houston Law Center, beginning in fall 2008.
Marriage and Family
Eric met Erin Sellars at Fadó Irish Pub on 4th Street in Austin, Texas following his graduation from the University of Texas. The couple married on January 9, 2009.
They have two children:
